Resolve To Read
It's 2017! And a new year is a great time for new beginnings and new goals. Last year I tried to keep track of the books I read using a website called Goodreads and I managed to read 41 books. This year I think I'd like to try to read between 50 to 100 books.
If you'd like to join me in reading more in 2017 here are some tips:
- Set a realistic goal. If you start with a small goal you'l be more likely to achieve it - and once you do that you can set the bar a little higher.
- Read what you want to read. This is something you're doing for yourself so pick things that you're interested in whether that's novels, manga, graphic novels, or non-fiction. You choose!
- Join other readers. If you like sharing your thoughts on what you've read you might be interested in joining a book club. If you are near these libraries there are a few book clubs for kids that look like fun! If you're not able to join a book club why not challenge your parents or siblings to read the same book and then compare notes.
- Share your thoughts. If you've read something amazing why not share your review with others to help them find fun reads too. You could start your own blog like Mango Bubbles, or send in a review to Kids' Space!
Just remember: reading should be fun, not stressful!
