Historical Background

1961
Opened at Thorncliffe Park School by the Leaside Public Library Board.

1966
Small branch library opened in the Chapel-in-the-Park, November.

1970
New building opened by the Borough of East York Public Library Board, 5 October. Dunlop, Wardall, Matual & Aitken Architects.

1997
Jenner Jean-Marie Community Centre added to building.

2007
New hours, 8 January Open hours per week increased from 48.5 to 50.5.

Closed for renovations, 8 December. Levitt Goodman Architects Ltd. & Phillip H. Carter, Architect.
