Historical Background

1960
Opened by the Scarborough Public Library Board, February 21. Architects: Sproatt & Rolph.

2004

  • 24 May, closed for relocation
  • 14 June, old building demolished.
  • 21 June, opened in new location attached to McGregor Park Community Centre. Architect, ZAS Architects Inc.
  • Sunday service starting September 2004

2005
Toronto Architecture and Urban Design Award - Honourable Mention, Building in Context.

2007
New hours, 8 January. Number of open hours per week unchanged.
