Scarborough Historical Collection transferred here.
1983
Renovated and enlarged, including the addition of the Florence Cruickshank Community Room, named for a long-time Board member. Officially opened 14 April. Moffat, Kinoshita Architects.
1989
Black and Caribbean Heritage Collection inaugurated.
1994
Weekly service hours reduced from 63.5 to 60, beginning 4 January.
1999
Sunday opening initiated 21 March.
2002
Learning Centre opens.
2007
Hours open per week increased on 8 January from 60 to 62.
2008
Closed Monday October 6, 2008 for a major renovation, architects Makrimichalos Cugini. Scheduled for completion in 2010.
Rita Cox Black & Caribbean Collection permanently moved to Malvern Library.
Scarborough Historical Collection's vertical files and a limited number of print sources moved to Albert Campbell Library during renovations.
