1929 Danforth Branch opened 20 November. George, Moorehouse & King, Architects.
1962 Retrofit.
1977 Retrofitted, Sankey Partnership Architects. Reopened 8 October.
1979 Renamed Pape/Danforth Branch, 20 June.
1983 Retrofitted, William Woodwoth, Architect.
1991 Closed for minor improvements on 1 June. Reopened 2 July.
1992 Closed for barrier-free access improvements on 21 April. Reopened 18 May.
2005 Closed for renovations 17 April, Hariri, Pontarini, Architects, Inc.
2006 Reopened 29 August. Open hours per week increased from 60.5 to 65.5.
2009 Winner of the City of Toronto’s 2009 Toronto Urban Design Award of Excellence for a Public Building in Context.
