Join us for exciting free programs this Fall with Artists in the Library from the Hand Eye Society and the The Art of Play: Game Makers at Oakwood Library. We will run three ongoing 12-week program series, see the other two listings as well: Game Curious, Interactive Fiction, Screenless Game Makers.

SCREENLESS GAME MAKERS is a weekly program series on Wednesdays, Sept 27 to Dec 13.
Open studio time - meet the artist at the library: 12 to 3 pm.
Screenless Game Makers program: 3:30 to 5 pm.

In this 12-week after-school drop-in program participants will work with a group of game artists to learn about physical games and board games design and design their own games. Physical games you can play indoors have been passed along through generations of schoolkids. Become game makers! No registration required. Suggested ages 8 and up, or accompanied by an adult if younger.

Founded in 2009, the Hand Eye Society is one of the first video game art organizations of its kind in the world. It is a Toronto not-for-profit dedicated to supporting and showcasing video games made primarily as a form of creative expression. The Hand Eye Society aims to provide exhibition opportunities, education, creative support, mentorship, knowledge sharing and inspiration to artists, enthusiasts, and the game-curious in Toronto.
